In the Museum of Sound, artists will take up residence in Camp Long’s rustic cabins to create installations that mix sound, auditory arts, music, and visual arts.

Wildlife Exhibit

At the West Shelter

Saturday and Sunday, 12:30 and 2:30

At 12:30 and 2:30 each day of the Festival visitors will have the opportunity to meet and learn about four wildlife ambassador birds (Cedar the red-tailed hawk, Sugar the barred owl, Ranger the Peregrine falcon, and Remi the turkey vulture) visiting from West Sound Wildlife Shelter.

This slow and meditative dance celebrates natural cycles of birth and death, matter and energy, incorporation and disintegration, depicting a journey of transformation using water and the life cycle of salmon as symbolic of all life’s connectedness and interdependence. Performance by Erica Akiko Howard. Expect influences from contemporary dance and Japanese Butoh, and incorporation of art created by Chloe Allred of the Body Joy Project.

Haiku Workshops w/ Michael Dylan Welch

Haiku Workshops with Michael Dylan Welch, longtime vice president of the Haiku Society of America and current poet laureate of Redmond.
